Internships
with ALBA
ALBA welcomes student interns each year from colleges
throughout the region and nationwide. We offer a rich learning
experience, the possibility of housing and fresh fruits and
vegetables, and a lot of fun! Potential topics for internships
include:
Business and Marketing Education
Cross-Cultural Learning and Understanding
Organic Farming Techniques and/or Research
Ecological and/or Wetland Restoration
Water Quality Protection
Soil Conservation and/or Testing
Program Planning and Evaluation
Grant Writing and Fundraising Events
Database Development
Communications and/or Spanish-Language Translation
Most internship opportunities are unpaid, but there may be
opportunities for stipends depending on the duration and scope
of the internship. It is also possible that educational
institutions offer paid internships in which ALBA hosts the
intern’s activities.
In order to apply for an internship, please send a resume and
cover letter detailing your learning objectives, desired
topic(s) of focus, whether or not you require compensation
and/or housing. You may send materials by email to Gary
Peterson, Deputy Director. No phone calls, please.
