Ways to contribute to the work of ALBA:

Volunteers:  We welcome individuals and organizations who may be able to assist our farmworker participants in a variety of short/long-term projects.  You may want to organize your own workshops on youth-in-agriculture, CSA’s, composting, nutrition education, or gardening.  Likewise there are other possibilities to provide informal assistance to our farmers (field labor, construction, harvest, festivals).  We’d love to include you in our farm activities!!

Internships:  Paid and university-credited intern positions are offered continuously to students who are interested in farmworker issues and community development.  Such creative and energetic influxes of inspiration have been a great strength in our program development.  Independent studies and ongoing programs are in great need of assistance.

Donations:  We are always interested in both financial and material donations.  We especially need farm equipment, untreated seeds, and organic customers.  No donation is too small.

Farm Visits:  Please let us know if you or your group would like to visit our centers to help with conservation plantings, do some fieldwork, and see our farm.  We welcome all visitors and possibilities to learn about our neighbors and the surrounding environment in which producers and consumers interact.

Research Partnerships:  With more than 76 acres of certified organic land in production, and up to 30 families working small plots, field research and varietal trials are perfect matches for our educational and experimental missions.
